Vegas Strip Blackjack – Rules Strategy & Tips

Vegas Strip Blackjack header
Vegas Strip Blackjack is one of a number of variations that can be found in online and land-based casinos. As in all other versions, the aim of the game is to get closer to 21 than the Dealer without ‘Busting’ and going over 21.

Vegas Strip Blackjack can be found in many of the casinos in one of the most popular places to gamble – Las Vegas – as well as many casinos in the web.

Vegas Strip Blackjack Rules

Vegas Strip Blackjack is a fairly standard version of Blackjack with no quirks to the rules that some variants have. If you know the general rules of Blackjack, you will find the Vegas Strip Blackjack version very easy to play.

It is usually played with 4 decks of cards, which are shuffled after every hand, therefore trying to give yourself an advantage by card counting won’t work in this version.

In Vegas Strip Blackjack the Dealer stands on all 17’s, Insurance is available if the Dealer shows an Ace face up, the Dealer will also ‘peek’ for Blackjack if they show an Ace or a 10.

You can Split up to 4 times, Aces can only be Split once and just 1 further card is permitted. You can Double after the first 2 cards or after Splitting as well. Like value cards can also be Split – so any picture card or 10 – although as this would give you a hand valued at 20 anyway, this wouldn’t be recommended.

Blackjack pays 3 to 2, other winning hands pay even money and Insurance pays 2 to 1.

And that’s it really, it is a fairly standard version as mentioned, so if Blackjack is your game of choice, check out Vegas Strip Blackjack at one of our recommended casinos and give it a go!

Vegas Strip Blackjack Tips

If you aren’t that experienced in playing Vegas Strip Blackjack, we recommend playing for fun first to get used to the rules. The best casino sites give you the chance to use free chips so make the most of it and learn the game before you start playing with your own money.

Play only with money that you can afford to lose. This is important advice for any form of gambling, if you can’t afford to lose the money you are using then don’t gamble, it should be fun and when it isn’t, it is time to stop. We recommend that you go to the table with around 40 hands worth of money, therefore base your total bet on the amount you wish to bring with you to the table, the smaller the starting stack, the smaller the individual bets should be.

Stick to the chart above when deciding on your actions when playing Vegas Strip Blackjack. This will give you the best chance of finishing a session ahead.
